People,

I looking for a nice small, preferably grass strip German airport to fly my German WWII addons from. Not a huge package like the Aerosoft German airports packages, but just one small grass airstrip. If it is WWII era, that would be an added bonus. Of course a WWII era German airport in occupied countries is just as good.

Thanks a million in advance!

Payware, but cheap (and steap;-):
http://secure.simmarket.com/aerosoft-vfr-airfields-betzdorf-kirchen-(edki)-(download).phtml

Other grass-strip small airports from aerosoft:

And for free, but big download! Not exactly Germany, but just over the dutch border AND a glider field with great photoscenery rendering the former WWII nightfigther base area in Venlo. One of my regular take off and landing areas:

One of my favorites, is absolutely free...

On this page, download the scenery of the airport "Hahnweide" - http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?catid=113&sort=d&page=5&pp=20

Most of the time during the year the airfield is simply a glider field, but each summer a vintage/WWII themed air show is held which is comparitive to Duxford's "Flying Legends". The runway is long enough to operate all of the WWII prop fighters and medium bombers. If you are not familiar, do a Youtube search for "Hahnweide", and you will find a million videos of warbirds flying from that airfield (mind you, if you get sucked in, you might end up viewing videos all day - like this classic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nj77mJlzrc) Note that the runway is far from smooth and flat.

Hahnweide has also played host to some of the largest gatherings of Junkers Ju-52's (this past summer they had five, and 2011 they had six, all flying together).

(In FSX, my favorite European warbird/classic aircraft airfields (as they serve that purpose in real life), are Duxford (UK), Old Warden (UK), Hahnweide (Germany), Bremgarten (Germany), La Ferte Alais (France), Dijon-Darois (France), and Lelystad (Netherlands). Others also include Little Gransden, Shoreham, Goodwood, and North Weald (all UK).)
