I have V1.2 Build 29 purchased from FSS.

I am unclear as to how to upgrade to the latest version.

I have d/led again from FSS in the hope that it is the new version ( I cannot tell from the d/l itself) but I wonder should I uninstall v1.2 first?

Also if I need to uninstall, is there any other step i need totake when so doing.

If all this was apparent somewhere my apologies for troubling you.

Happy New Year

Hi Nio,
From Steve's post:

1 .Download the latest build from the FSS store...go to "My Account"

2. Double and Triple Check that your current version is installed in a sub directory of program files.

3: Open your current version of the "Fixer" and select "uninstall libraries" - if you run FSX using multiple user accounts follow the instructions in the manual!

3a: Go to Windows Control Panel and "Programs & Features" "Uninstall a program" and select Steve's DX10 Fixer and uninstall

3b: Reboot computer

4: Select the latest version of the installer you just downloaded and "Run as Admin"

5. Enter license if prompted.

5:Reboot Computer

6: Right click the Fixer icon that should be residing on your desktop, and select advanced, tick the box "Run as Admin"

7: Reinstall the libraries in the fixer and check your other options.

8: Run FSX and make sure all is good.

Nio, the one you dled from FSS is 1.3. Follow Roger's post above to uninstall/reinstall. I did it and it works fine. More options available too in 1.3.

...and here's some help on the subject if you need it, with a revised (this week) How-To guide.

All the best, and a Happy New Year!
