Found this at a gun forum I frequent. It doesn't get much better than this.

Thanks for the video. Enjoyed viewing it. They did a marvelous job of restoring her. A sharp looking aircraft.

I remember that Seafire. It was originally slated to join the collection at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum some years ago but then they had a change of plans and sold off the airframe to someone in Minnesota who then sold it to yet another party. Nice to see her finally flying...

A bit hard to believe its been more than three years since then already (I was lucky enough to see it on display at Oshkosh that year (2010)). The owner also has another Seafire Mk.XV under restoration right now. Somewhat unfortunately, the owner (who also has two P-51D's (one a 353rd FG combat vet)), tends to keep his aircraft hangared and doesn't have them flown much (I believe the Seafire hasn't been seen in the air since 2011, though it has been displayed as static at the airport's annual air show).

There is also a Seafire Mk.47 that operates in Montana (private owner), and a Seafire Mk.XVII in the UK, which is nearing completion of a rebuild and should be flying again soon (following a landing mishap a few years ago). I also seem to recall there being at least one Seafire Mk.III under restoration to airworthy in the UK. (Each Seafire flying today, or near to it, are quite different from each other.)
