I have Steve's DX10 Fixer and can highly recommend it -- IF you are not planning to go to P3DV2.0. Visually, both FSX/DX10 and P3D are comparable - sharp and beautiful! If the plan is to stay with FSX, absolutely get the DX10 Fixer. If the plan is to go with P3DV2.0, you will have close to the same visuals but on a platform that will continually be updated. P3D V2.05 is already planned for early Jan2014 and the full V2.1 later when it is ready. I bought Steve's DX10 Fixer only a few weeks before P3DV2.0 was released and have no regrets spending the money. Steve is also updating his fixer to make it better.

I suspect that this is not a crystal clear response but it is my honest opinion. Also the usual cavet -- this is how it works on my system!

Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks Lyn.
That`s great to read, because for the moment i will not buy P3DV2.Perhaps later if everything is working.
Back to the Fixer,i use nearly all ORBX products and have tons of airplanes and helis.
Will they work without issues in DX10 or do you have any problems?

Mike,
I do not have any Orbx scenery, oops- that's not true - I have the free Iceland scenery and it works very well. No issues that I am aware of. I use SimSavvy's Photo-real America scenery and it works beautifully. I also use SweetFX on both FSX and P3D to add just a little bit of tweaks to the image.

AFAIK, most all FSX native aircraft work without issue and some of the FS9 do also. I usually only fly A2A aircraft so my personal knowledge of other aircraft is limited. Sorry.

Here are two links to the DX10 forums at Avsim. These guys are VERY knowledgeable and very willing to help answer questions and share their experiences, both good and bad, for DX10.
