I received an email from Captain Sim this morning, saying they are having a "Everything is $9.99 sale".

But when I went to their website store, and selected the C-130 base package, it still says $19.99.

I posted on their Facebook page, but no idea when they'll get back to me. I understand if the sale excludes

certain models/packages, but that's not what their ad says!! If anyone has more information on this, I would

appreciate knowing about it! Thanks. NC

UPDATE: As "Roseanne Roseannadanna" would have said.....NEVERMIND! I read the notice again. I guess the sale does not start until the 16th.......

I haven't received their email yet, but are you sure the sale has already started? They normally have a banner up at their site when they have these sales, and I don't see one yet.

Sorry. I didn't read my email from them correctly. You are right. The sale is not until the 16th. But you can bet I will be buying that day!!! NC

Chief, the last time they had a sale like this I went and bought the "All In One" pack, if it's not on sale then it should cost the same as the normal price for the Base Pack. One of the best purchases I did as far as FSX goes.

Thanks Charlie. I plan on getting that, plus the 707! Pete

I have three of the Captain Sim Boeings, and they are great. But I think that the C-130 package is their best...the most fun to fly. The expansion packages are well worth the money. I rode in C-130s quite a few times and the realism is outstanding, especially the sound. Get it as soon as you can, Chief.

I wish the 777 ran in P3D. :(

Yes, worth every penny! It is quite a handful to fly, but quite fun.

It's a good-looking model with a lot of good repaints available. It's still a mainstay in my hangar today.

If memory serves they put out the exterior model first and then did the B-52 Driver package to finish it off. I don't
know if they ever combined it into one package or not.

It was combined when I bought it at least.

For us europeans those discount prices on Captain Sim pages show up as euros! By course 1 to 1 i.e. $9.99 ---> € 9.99 means something $13 plus. Fair?

Just picked up the 130 full pack and the 727. It was in Euros, not dollars, so $28. Not bad considering the 130 full pack would set you back a lot more than that by itself.

I too pick up the C-130 and for $14.00 not to shabby. I had to register for the forum and glad I did cause there is a link posted there for repaints for the C-130 and a few other
aircraft. Not all the download links worked for me. The C-130 sound is OK but could be improved a little. The sound topic was also discussed as well. Apparently, there is a "realistic"
C-130 sound if you fork over extra buckos (Naturally). I managed to find other sounds for the P-3 that sound pretty close. I have the real P-3 and C-130 so I know
how they sound.

Edit - Bought the All-in-one package and answered my original question.

What P-3 sound package are you using? I agree - the included sounds are somewhat lacking.
