This is painful..........way painful!!! So bloody beautiful.....we're itching to get our hands on it too. Thanks for the taste Mate............by the way........what are your settings....and system? Will all of us be able to see this clarity and detail? Have you any thoughts on what to rig up for...... ......remember........Xmas is coming and not only might it bring this work of art you whackos are working on but it may bring us a puter system capable of doing it justice...........any leads oh wizards? Thanks.........GAW

The quality of the scenery/clouds is outstanding. I hope this will be transferrable to regular CFS3 in due course. BTW nice to see WM back on the forum earlier today.:)

I can't remember if this was asked... do clouds shield you from the AI?

Clouds hide you from the AI though in these WW1 crates you'll get thrown around by turbulence.

This is great stuff! More screenies would be great, for us to drool over. :costumes:
Maybe a movie soon?

Gaw my PC setup is fairly high end, WM just got a similar setup so I guess an upgrade is in order for some to see the game at 1600x1200 with all the bells and whistles.
PC is a Shuttle XPC 25NP, Athlon 64 4000+, Nvidia 8700GTX. 2GB Ram.
1600x1200
4X AA filtering
8X Aniso
Sliders all at 5 apart from terrain at 4. Don't forget 5 in OFF is equivalent to 7 in CFS3. Getting around 30 fps most places.
Some of the guys run at 3's or 2's and it runs well.
Rabu: Yes but as Robby says watch out for that turbulance or your final flight will end like Albert Ball's.
I dived through cloud in the dogfight there to lose the enemy on my tail and it worked, although colliding or whatever is possible. On another flight that's exactly what happened.
Whitehawk: yes I have a few movie parts done, will release one soon - at a lower res obviously otherwise it does go slow ;)

I run it on a Dell Dimension, P4 2ghz, 1MB of RAM and a geforce mx440. All my sliders are on 3, except clouds on 1 and effects on 2 and it still looks good. WM has put a lot of work into this side of things. Having seen the screenies from the guys though....I am saving pennies for more hardware.
I tried diving out of the clouds too........couldn't pull out of the dive, couldn't parachute out as I don't have one.......all that wind whistling past my ears. The last thing that went thru my mind was the rudder.:)
It's going to be well worth the wait. You have all been so patient.:icon29:

This is a single player mission you did? I like the prospect of a solid WWI sim that had good single player qualities as well as good multiplayer ones. I always thought RB, RB2, and RB3d really shined because of their single player missions and campaigns. The CFS3 engine is great too and has plenty of potential. I think this game is going to be really good.

SirMike, we hope it can be played multiplayer, just we haven't worked on that side of things yet. The mission I described is in QC mode, the campaign mode you have to take off and navigate the full mission of course.

absolutely brilliant. the hard work and passion of the OFF team is certainly very evident. don't know how you find the time to do it all, but am mightly glad you do. good luck now that Xmas is not far away - finishing that last 5% (or wherever it is at) is always a pain in the rear.
