Here is an example of one of my DCG/AIRBOSS-generated ETO missions. I currently have 5 of these corridor-shaped DCG campaigns, reaching Eurotargets as far in as Frankfurt and the Krupp works, all focused on the summer of 1943.

Each corridor-shaped campaign will generate a variety of missions. Each mission will contain all the campaign-specific aircraft and infrastructure, minus previous losses, plus new replacements. The player simply switches between campaigns to see all the scenery and get into a variety of fine messes.

DCG has a few limitations which this system, along with my BOSS and AIRBOSS modules, helps to ameliorate. For example, a close inspection of this mission would reveal 4 AI squadrons assigned to bomber escort, which DCG simply will not do on it's own. There is also a DCG fighter range limitation (in Europe only, for some mysterious reason), which is partially overcome by having AIRBOSS re-assign unneeded DCG CAPs to long range escort duty. Also, DCG only uses straight front lines running North-South or East-West, so the front line has to be adjusted to fit each specific corridor.

My little ETO dynamic campaign system isn't perfect, but IMO it's better than the CFS3 dynamic campaign in terms of mission complexity, surprises, and tracking air crew losses, air crew skill and experience, and infrastructure damage, which the CFS3 dynamic campaign does not do.

Now all I need is the long-awaited new and vastly improved Sander/Rhumbaflappy/Blohmvoss converted FS2004 ETO scenery. Then I can add moving vehicle convoys to the new roads.:eagerness:

Ettico,

Zoinks! :jawdrop: And I thought my missions were complicated...:dizzy:

I see the method and logic behind it, though.

Great job, Ettico!

Eat your heart out, Rami. :p87:

I can generate one of these in 20 seconds. And that includes choosing the loadouts for myself and my crew.

Nevermind the fact that it took me weeks of clumsy programming efforts to reach this pinnacle. And no telling how long to figure out most of DCG's quirks.

Anyhow, that's the trick to getting action-packed DCG missions. I've got 28 squadrons, 100+ mission infrastructure objects, and a couple of Eurotargets all crammed into that narrow corridor. With that much going on, it's hard to avoid finding something to shoot at or run away from.

I find myself running away a lot in these missions. It's the key to my success, which to this point amounts to a grand total of 5 kills and a promotion. Those upgraded Akemi 190's are bad company. Don't want to be outnumbered by those.

And the only way to cover the ETO theater with DCG is to break it up into bite-sized corridors. This way, I often see group-sized bomber formations with fighter escorts, heading for the same target area. And with AIRBOSS, I have a chance to get some top cover for my fighter strike missions, so I don't get thrown to the wolves to be chewed up by the enemy CAPs, the way the unaltered DCG does.

And sometimes, when I'm flying escort, there are enough other escort squads to allow me to stop playing nursemaid and cut loose.

There is some tututorial from some where about this program? I´ve tryed before with my win7 32bit , i´m still without know how it works!

Unfortunately, the DCG creator's website which contained the tutorial is no longer available.

Also unfortunately, learning to build your own DCG campaigns is difficult. Lots of quirks you have to know about. Not difficult once you've learned all the tricks, but the learning is the difficult part.

My AIRBOSS_64.zip contains my modules and a readme explaining how to set up and operate my system on existing DCG campaigns, and includes a few sample Pacific campaigns. But I don't have a tutorial on how to build DCG campaigns. You'll probably need the 64-bit version of my modules if you're running Windows 7, but the DCG mission generator runs on my 64-bit Windows 8 rig.

lowengrin.com/ is the creator's current website, and has a forum. If you're interested in building campaigns, you might ask Lowengrin if he still has the CFS2 DCG tutorial or knows where one can be found.

There are some existing DCG campaigns here at SOH, and the latest version, DCG 6.32, available at Lowengrin.com, contains all the original campaigns and some fixes to the previous versions of DCG. I've uploaded a couple of DCG campaigns, and I recommend Talon's DCG campaigns.

I'll probably make my ETO campaigns available when I'm finished tuning them up. You won't need a tutorial to fly them, but you will need to set up my system using DCG 6.32 in conjunction with my BOSS and AIRBOSS modules to make them work as they should. You'll also need a stable of ETO aircraft of your choosing, with their folder names changed to match the folder names in my "Squadrons" files. Alternatively, you can edit the folder names in my "Squadrons" files to match your existing aircraft folder names.
