Greetings all, found these trucks at flightsim, working on conversions, have the owners permission to convert and upload if anyone is interested, they are driveable- which I think opens some doors for better vehicles in the senior sim. These are built by Al Lee who graciously has allowed us to us them in CFS2. Thank You Al

Great work RM, but this has me wondering......I've trawled all through Flightsim.com for vehicles without much success. Anyway, your powers of research are obviously up to the mark, so :applause:!

Good news on the Deuce and a Half truck! We have nice Japanese and German trucks, but now we can crank up the US version.

Will this go into the sim as an aircraft folder or will you be able to convert it over to a .bgl file?

The model you have looks to be the M-35 2 & 1/2 ton 6X6 truck. While CFS 2 can't model it, it had a 5 speed transmission with a low range transfer box giving it 10 speeds forward and 2 in reverse. They also had a 6 cylinder diesel engine some of which were turbocharged and had a distinctive whistling sound when driven.

In Vietnam, it was not uncommon to see them armor plated and equiped with several M-60 7.62mm or M-2 HB .50 cal machine guns for convoy escort. They were the fighter planes of the Transportation Corps and they often had "nose art" painted on them.

My military driver's license still lists the M-35 as an authorized vehicle, but we don't have them anymore. Tis a shame as it was one lean and mean off road machine.

Now that you mention it I had A USMC license for everything from a jeep to a M-52- last drove a M-562 25 ton wrecker 0n which I carried an M-60 back by the boom in its on small sandbag bunker, plenty miles around Chu Lai-, but to old now he he. will get these done as quick as i can, Al also told me shortly we will have a fire truck.
