Remember when we were little kids and watching The Jetsons, growing up thinking everyone would be driving flying cars by now?

Thanx For The Memories...The quest for a triple threat vehicle..Land ,Air ,Water....Land Water ,great success...However factor in air?It becomes elusive....Only the Mind of a Leonardo may have grasped the complexity of This...We mere mortals Try as we may, always wind up with a Poor car and a Poor Airplane ...I remember POPULAR MECHANICS yeas ago ,an exciting concept...Today there are some with deep pockets pursuing this, A new Toy for equally Deep Pocketed kids....Which leads me to believe if our Lord GM meant cars to fly,he would have giving them wings...Thanx My Friend Vin

Beana,

Did you ever read Jules Verne's Master of the World?

I enjoyed the video. I have watched similar videos on this topic and one issue that was raised was concern for that "errant" pilot that is drunk or not fully focused of flying and crashes in
your house. The more people flying, the greater the risks of this happening. I also wonder if this was allowed, would there be established flight routes that would have to be utilized. It is a nice concept till the sky's are flooded with these little things flying around everywhere and then we have the the sky's and roads polluted with traffic. Nice idea but also my safety as a ground
pounder and not getting hit by one of these things gives me pause.

Yes long ago..the "TERROR",car ,Boat ,Sub, Plane and what ever else you want...Great Stuff,Written in 1904,wonder if the Wright Bros. influenced him?.....Like Da Vinci,or earlier ICARUS,man will dream...From the Ground into the air..Something Birds do with as a matter of fact thing, and we will always struggle with..We try with machines to achieve this, and with some success, but it will never be "As A Matter Of Fact"....but keeping the open mind..It may be just over the next hill, with a guy in his garage making one...Have Fun..Vin

And those stats haven't projected (included) the future when those little sky boogers are bought and sold like toyotas and hondas are now.
Hopefully I won't be on this planet when that happens. Your stats are only cover automobiles -didn't see anything there about private airplanes.</nah....i>

There is a very promising "roadable" airplane called the Fuggeria (or something similar to that spelling) which was designed by graduates of MIT. It is in final test phase and performing well.
