I haven't seen a thread about this here, so...sorry if i'm blind :monkies:
Frank has finished his great Grand Teton photo scenery. It looks really great:applause: You have to send him an email (daifran@libero.it) to get the DL link but it's really worth it.

Overall, it's very very nice. Only two issues I see, no autogen, and the sharp edge of the scenery where it meets default FSX textures. However, from altitude cruising over the Tetons, it's stunning!

What does it look like from Jackson Hole? I hope it looks as good as it does in the shots above, cause that is awsome.

Ther photo real area extends down to and around Jackson Hole, though the resolution is a bit better on the mountains than the surrounds.

Hello All, I'm Frank.
When I construct the scene, not always good photographic material is had on hand, many times is of insufficient quality and must adapt, above all in the peripheral zones. Also for the Grand Teton it has been thus!
Thanks for compliment.

Now that is some beautiful scenery. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v64/GT182/Thumbup.gif

It's always better to fly over the Tetons than drive thru them. ;)

Looks great Nils!!!
Thanks Dave! It's very time consuming and only for the first 5 seconds fun but IMO really worth it.

Here you can get the first part (the first 7 or 8 BGLs): http://www.box.net/shared/j0y9hlytbe

I must admit that your forum at least has the screenshots beautifulr (for the Grand Teton), is much good! :applause:
I am constructing more and more realistic scenes, where is the airplane only thing feint… I use a system of application of the photographic texture, of perspective transformation and geometric projection.
The method of my invention but that it gives of the good result.
Not use absolutely programs type TileProxy or FSEatrhTile.

Here a screenshots of the scene that I am constructing… to what of thoughts?

Frank, Incredible results. Your invention must allow for such remarkable detail in the nearly vertical inclines. I'm waiting patiently for the link to your Grand Tetons.

Inspired by these screenshots I requested scenery files from Frank from an area I'm more familiar with having spent a few holidays there in the Jungfrau region in the Berneseoberland on the Swiss Italian border. WOW! simply magnificent. Using a Genesis 2 and then a DG-808S glider launching from Interlaken with real weather selected, it was just superb with wind at 6kts at the airfield rising to 53 kts over the Jungfrau, ridge lift had to be worked hard down at the start, but what an elevator ride in the peaks over some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world.

Note the railway station at the Jungfraujoch (round building between two of the main peaks)

Hi Nils, I'd like to try your great looking trees with Franks extraordinary Teton scenery.

However when I unpack the file Grand_Taton1.zip, it contains NO bgl files and 461 .agn files.

Would you check out that file please to see if it contains all that you intend to be there. Thanks.

Hi Jim,
i made only the AGN files. You can use them with any photo scenery for that area.
If you want to use them with Frank's scenery you have to use his BGLs (scenery folder) and my AGN files (Texture folder).
I hope i can finish the remaining files in a few days and i will also correct the existing.

Thanks Nils,

I guess I just learned something new. I did not know agn files would work with any bgl files. I'll give it a try and will look forward to your additional work.

Hi Nils,

Sorry for my being such a dunce, but there must still be something I must do since I was unable to get the trees to show.

I copied your texture folder and placed it in Franks' Gran_Teton_NPark folder. After this copy, the Gran_Teton_NPark folder contained two folders, Franks' scenery folder with all his bgl files, and your texture directory with all your agn files. Running FSX, Frank's Tetons show fine but not a single tree shows in the entire Teton area.:help:

Just had to add my thanks and congratulations on this scenery. And adding the trees, what can I say, can it get any better? Just when you thought you had seen it all, something new and exciting comes along. Wonderful additions and to think it is freeware besides. Remarkably. Tried to add some screenshots to this several times but no joy

Someone has hijacked my account and has made false promises :d
No, i'm working on it. I have to experiment with a few different ways of planting the trees, because i want to increase the density.

BTW, Frank's news are awesome: click (http://www.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.scenarialpinifsx.blog spot.com%2F&hl=it&ie=UTF8&langpair=it%7Cen&langpair.x=0&langpair.y=3&langpair=it%7Cen) ..really fantastic news and all will be free :isadizzy::applause::applause::applause:
