I'm personally partial to the P-55 Ascender aircraft. The engine sounds that they have for it is well, very lame and whimpy. The one in the original is the Allison V-1710-95 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allison_V-1710). I'm looking to change the sound of it and after 10 years since doing it, honestly... I've forgotten how to do it.

Is anyone willing to take me through the steps to change the sounds within' the folder...? I've got a really serious sound system here and it's in full 5.1 surround... can this be optimized...?

I have the ETO up to 1.4 installed and want to have it apply to this as i'm wanting to stay with this set-up...

Thanks y'all...

Danoman (Danny)

P.S. By the way, my son and I will see all of you in the air soon... be ready, my son is really GOOD now at the combat thing. He grew up with Fox, Wildbat, Gunner, Ashes, Viper and Nausica in the early days of the simulator. (he's better at this than me...) ;)

Haven't a clue... but I'm sure you'll need the Sounds section of the Aircraft and Vehicle SDK for CFS3, available at the MS site for CFS3 (http://www.microsoft.com/games/combatfs3/cfs3_sdk.aspx)

In the aircraft's sound folder the file sound.cfg can be edited. Make the alias anything you want.

[fltsim]
alias=spitfire_ixc\sound
