An FSX model now- native, if the model config is any guide- separate exterior and interior models. Multiple load out options, paint schemes, VC looks tastey.
This one was a classic 'what if' jet from the FS 2002 days, loads of fun. The author has been chipping away at the updated native version for a long while, I'm downloading right now- it a big file, but so cool. One of the best what if models of all time. Looks like some of those funky ATF studies from the early eighties.

A whopping, weighty package, 4 models with different payloads and FDE's (counter-air, interdiction, ACMT, clean) with appropriate AMRAAM/-9X-JDAM-ACMI pod loads; nicely rendered front office with good but basic functionality. A huge offering of paint schemes-though some may find 80 some odd variants a bit much vis a viz load times! Some really nice gauge controlled effects touches like inlet condensation at gee, and nice effects work with A/B and transonic effect. Nicely rendered through out, with sharp looks and solid design work consistent with sound aeronautical, engineering , doctrinal and operational principles. A couple of glitches had crept in, though of the finger trouble type:

the texture config file is missing from all the repaints. an easy, cut and paste fix. easy to over look in the scramble to get a big file organized.

Flight model. Right away, excessive nose up and right roll and no trim; a check of control and settings, fuel load was quickly eliminated. A read through the config file quickly showed a mistake in sign of the fuel tank co-ordinates, placing all the fuel on the right side of the aircraft. Replacing the missing minus sign fixes that.
It looked to my eye that the aircraft was loaded aft, and a relocation of the CG aft relieved the pitching. I increased the stability ratios in pitch and role, added differential brakes, and the aircraft flys and behaves well throughout its envelope; and exhibits exceptional post stall maneuverability and supercruise.
I still do find it a bit over sensitive, so adjust to suit ones own tastes and hardware.

Updated FDE. Cut and paste onto a backed up copy; in case you don't like it. save your aircraft entries.

Loads of fun, highly recommended, goes great with the CFB North Star scenery pack and AI package!

Ah a revamp by the Grizzly's creator Brian. Thank you for the HU, I'm gonna have to see if he has me a special 440Sq lol. For those who want a secrete RCAF base Brian also made CFB NorthStar. The CFB can be found at usual place's and is north of CYSY Sach's Harbor. Fun Arctic patrol all the way to CFS Alert with a Stop off at CYRB:salute: for grub.
