Not strictly FSX related, but nice vid of F6F Hellcat and Zero together from YouTube. In the second video, there are also B-25 and P-40. Starting these babys isn't like something of your normal modern car :mixedsmi:

We could use some modern FSX native model for B-25, though. MAAM is good, but it has usual FS9 problems with glass surfaces etc. I hope Vertigo pulls out a good one. They were at least developing one.

I had the chance to be there that afternoon, and watch the first public Hellcat flight, even though it had been flying for a while previous to that. Very cool to watch them both taxi by less than 50 yards away...the nice thing, about the FHC aircraft is that you can get up close in the museum upon their return. The Historic Flight Foundation across the airport also has a great collection, and you can get very close and personal. They allow visitors to look inside/touch the aircraft. In fact Just 2 days ago it was just my father and I inside the B-25 "Grumpy" Very special indeed. :D

airshows with the vintage planes are the best - I hope they are around for a long time to come..its one thing to walk around in a museum and look at them or even go up the wing for a look in the cockpit (fighter) or climb inside a B-17 or C-46

but to see them flying or hear that coughing startup kick into a roar when they fire up and idle while the pilot finishes his checklist is just like nothing else -

sure at a car show you know the car will be driven around a track maybe and then loaded on a trailer and carried home...

but this machine flew and in a few cases, fought and is about to fly again..and will fly home when the show's over -
