She is simply beautiful. The only thing that could be better is seeing the real thing. Thanks Skyhawk, really appreciated.

That has to be one of the most attractive Mustang schemes I've ever seen. Nicely done!

Nicely done. I have a '69 F-250 that came from a PA ANG retired AF guy. He had installed a custom built winch on the front, using the starter motor from some ANG jet... Heck if I know...

Flew her around Stead with a buddy this evening. Did okay, until he got hot, and had to turn back for the field...

I noticed that the (P-51D_2_TSpec.bmp) texture is not ready, missing the alpha channel!
Can you fix it?

Thank you!

Great job and certainly an interesting scheme! As it rightfully should be, we have a lot of world war 2 paints for Johns Mustangs, but I find the post war ANG birds maybe even more interesting. Somthing about how the old bird managed to keep serving in the jet world.

Do you have any info about the reason for the dayglo? (or was it simply to make it easier to spot during training?)

the dayglo was used for a gunnery meet in Nevada at about the same time frame as the KY ANG F-51D Zsolt posted for download.
