You were maybe the last one to download this - I have permanently deleted the file.

Why are you removing these? They look really nice. It's a nice addition.

After thinking things over and the comment some of you have made when I removed this file I have decided to re-up load it. I just entered all the data and hit the submit button.
Hopefully the download link will work, And subsequent to my 1st post Gary Burns gave me permission to upload my repaints.

I appreciate the kind words of support - and no it wasn't anything anyone said to me as reason to remove it.

The file name is the same GBJEEPFSX1.ZIP,

So we'll see how long it takes to post - again!

EDIT: While waiting for the re-post to clear link is still here:

Thank you TuFun - I had so many positive comments that it drove me to reconsider and so it's back by popular demand :icon_lol:

And thank you my friend for the encouragement to keep on keeping on.

FSX68,

If you got permission from Gary Burns, please upload it directly to SOH. I don't like to approve third-party download links, and I can't get this one to work. I keep getting a "damaged or corrupted" message, no matter what link you've sent.

Worse, my Bit-Defender AV software goes bat crap crazy when I try to go to the link directly.

OK I just did another upload and this time I uploaded the file directly from my computer to SOH.
The reason I posted it to Mediafire was because of the file size - I thought it was in excess of file limits for a direct upload and therefore would not accept it.
Your application request for upload does give options for location link - i.e. use a (http//www.somewhere.net) to upload it to -
or direct link - from my computer to your server (SOH).

Sorry about the bat crap craziness there.

Good to hear. I missed downloading it the first go around.

It downloaded without a problem from your link and I just finished a short drive through Tilella. I assume it installs to the Airplanes folder in FSX?

Thanks much. I like the different color options.

Back by popular demand here is the link for My Jeeps repaints. This file was direct upload to to SOH so it should download ok.
Install these files to your Airplanes folder of FS9/FSX. My work here is done. Read the read me enclosed for additional info.
Guess I will just leave well enough alone.

FSX68,

Strange. As soon as I got a direct link to the file (with it being uploaded to SOH) it upzipped fine. I guess my AV software didn't like Mediafire, it would terminate the download after 50-100kb, so it never finished. Strange! :banghead:

Next time, we'll make it easier for ya. :icon_eek: My apologies.

Great repaints....Like stated earlier here.....A real great addition to FSX.....
To bad the files wont allow more detail work on these......
Some nice highly custom models would be great....
Maybe someday we will get someone to do a whole new model of the Jeep of WWII as well as other drivable versions of WWII vehicles....
Wheres the Transport trucks....?....:kilroy:

That is because it could of been Mapped out a little better IMHO. Cant add any lettering to the sides of the hood without penalties.

Interested in your camo jeep and how you add a layer of camo paint to the body
