Hey All,
Well it's been a year since the Hendrick KingAir went down into Bull Mountain Va as the pilot(s) tried to land at Martinsville. Was really good to see Jeff Gordon bring the win home for Hendricks. I did some looking into the accident. Apparently it was a tragic comedy of errors - the most critical of which appears to be that flying on instruments (but not GPS) the pilot and copilot both mistook the inner marker for the outer marker and overshot thus completing a CFIT. The plane had a working not approved GPS but no ground proximity warning system. I wonder if they had any idea? Sad... I think I'll stick to the Cheyenne.
