The title says it all, I would appreciate a link to decent 3 views of the Seagull. The only ones I had got lost some time ago.

Many Thanks, Paul

I can come up with a very basic line drawing 3-views, ... landplane and seaplane, if you're interested. Not detailed scale drawings. no section drawings.

Hi Paul,

Not sure if it's in here somewhere - maybe something else in here tickles your fancy.

LOTS of drawings, here....

Here's a couple for you to grin at. We had a pair of Socks at Jax and I never got to fly in them. It was tremendous airplane and everyones' pet.

Here's a link to one of the first internet-only books that I ever read and it's a really fascinating story.

http://www.cruiserscout.com/

The author flew as a radioman/observer in SOC-2 seagulls during WW2.

I built a model of the SOC-3 for a Guadalcanal flightsim that never got published so I have a ton of reference material. But it will take awhile to undig it all. I have a copy of the Squadron/Signal book - U.S. Navy Floatplanes of WWII in Action which has a good 3-view of the SOC-3. I'd be glad to scan it and e-mail a copy to you if you like.

Oops. Piglet beat me to it.

Thanks, everyone, looks like I have enough to get started. I did a model of the Seagull back in the FS2002 days and I want to upgrade it to FSX Accel standards as it is a logical plane to catapult off my USS Idaho or some of the new battleships starting to appear. :ernae:

Hi Mr Clawson,

Is that a picture of the Waco? How can I get a paint job like that? Is there a Waco like that?

Thank You

Hi, Casey, If you are talking about my avatar, yes, that is a Waco SRE which I will be releasing this coming weekend. I had hoped to release it earlier, but I recently installed a new larger hard drive and it took me a few days to reload all the programs I seem to not be able to live without!

Cheers, Paul
