the4.08 patch...????

I dl it from fileshack...FINE.....then clickin on it i get a list of whichprogram to use to excecute....it isnt an exe file....how do i patch it...

The zip file "il2_1946_408m" unzips to another zip file also called "il2_1946_408m", except it's an application. Look under "properties". Double click this and point it to the IL2 root folder to unzip. Once that is done, start the game and verify that it says 4.08 in the splash screen (lower left corner)
