Surprised they release this one prior to the "Stealth" H-60. They should look at some current attack/scout helos coming out of China: Z-10 and Z-19.

Absolutely! I hope some sort of helmet-mounted display will be included.

Area51 Sim is now offering it for Pre-Order for about 25% off.
Looks like a possible release date of August 1st, 2013.

Took advantage of that myself to get some of their models I didn't already have.

Never received an email announcing the release and a link.
I went back to my pre-order info, found the one from e-junkie that had info, and cut and paste the link from there and it worked at least.
Thought I'd pass that along in case someone else out there was stilling waiting like me.

Soooo......how is it?

Soooo......how is it?Well, it's on par with other Area51 helos....

It has an unusual install in that you select between the armed and the recon versions. I installed both.

The external models looks great - you get with or without external stores or radar dome. I like the sounds. VC cockpit with all the usual MFD panels, basic switches, etc. Animations include both cockpit doors and weapons door. It has a nice HUD as well. The crew are also animated, but cannot be removed from the cockpit after landing (as far as I can figure out).

I would have liked to see a txt file or small manual describing what is in the package, rather than clicking here and there to figure things out.

BTW - there is some comment on Facebook that they are looking into having the gun stow away as in the real Comanche.

Good product for the price.

Thanks for the mini review. I get alot of use out of their Kiowa, so will have to snag this one also.

Can anyone post some larger, more detailed shots of the model, please? Especially the virtual cockpit. Thank you!
