Back seat VC and canopy detail. She's a beauty, absolutely stunning! Flies like a dream(but challenging). It does come with an English manual. Do read it before you fly it!

Yes it does! You can select clean, or 3 different tank options with a control panel while in game, single player. Multi-player only has one tank option. Many interesting custom features on this airplane.. it's fairly complex. As others have said, you have to read the manual to identify them.

Back to the days of reading the 'Tangy et Laverdure' comics, and I remember building a two-seater Mirage III model (Matchbox I think..?) back then. One of the most beautiful aircraft ever made!

Benoit,

It was my pleasure! But it is I and the community that say a much deserved THANK YOU' to you and all the team for this wonderful gift!

I have enjoyed my early test flights of the new Mirage and am stunned at it's quality at every level. I must admit a rather embarrassing error on running the check list :icon_lol: not locking the canopy correctly. It is amazing going down the runway in full afterburner and suddenly having a very noisy "sun roof convertible" of a jet fighter. ROFL!

Great!

Someone got into that paintkit in a hurry! Looks superb.

In the absence of a native F-21 Kfir, am I the only one whose imagination is filled with sultry, salacious, and partially illicit fantasies ...:icon_eek: ... of an Aggressor model aimed at replicating the MiG-23U type ....

An awesome piece of freeware!!! Well done to all at Restauravia!!:icon29:

Sadly this was the only one I ever saw, at the Australian Aviation Heritage Centre in Darwin NT.

87380

This is the tail of IIID A3-105 of No 2 OCU at Tyndall; it crashed east of Darwin in April 1984 following an undercarriage failure at night. The crew ejected safely and it came down nose first in a bog. With all due respect to riveteers, I'll do this one in one of its many paint scemes.

Shes an example of a tradition in the south african air force to paint a display aircraft in the SA flag colours

Here's A3-105 (the one at Darwin) in its final form with a temporary green/brown camo scheme applied for Exercise Pitch Black in early 1984, and that it was wearing when it went down. I've redone the spec files, redrawn most of the stencil work and scalloped the camo paint margins. It's just a pity there's not a genuine IIID to hang these RAAF skins on. Still this is a beautiful freeware add-on! Cheers to Restauravia!:icon29:

That looks great Dave. Way back in January 2008 J.E. Narcizo released a IIIBE (or IIID like you need) as part of a IIIE package. It was for FS2004 though. But it is the correct engine and nose.

The Mirage IIIC is the fighter version of the Mirage III (C stands for "Chasse" (Fighter). Its shorter than the other versions.
The Mirage 50 is a simplified version of the Mirage IIIE (bomber version).

I find the IIIC much more sexy although its performances were a little bit below the subsequent versions. I think the Canards don't fit the pure lines of the Mirage III. Of course, its a very subjective opinion.

I'm always amazed how quite small details can change the esthetic "character" of a plane, if you see what I mean.

Personally, I'm attracted by the slim nose of the Mirage 5 family. Same with the Mirage F1, I prefer the slimmer F1A.

I stopped on my plans when I saw them already being done but I
might just do a couple to scratch that itch.

Yep not only busy with the M2M M2000, but also moved to a new house, honestly it has been quite hectic around here.
About the BJ repaints, I'm thinking releasing my promised Israeli Pack into two seperate packs, the early and late -IIIBJ respectively, in order to get them released ASAP to all of you.

I have problem to force GCA to work (voice system).

Example - setup is for Dijon 109,5 ILS, the rest I think is ok ok too - degrees and feets.

http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/820/jrwm.jpg

Tacan = NAV1 is steup to for 109.50 and its active. Just notice than it shows 51Y (for 109,5) not like in diagram on the top - 82X.

http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/8246/1ezg.jpg

And have info "pas de signal" = it means "no nav signal".
Push too "1" or "2" on keyboard but without effect too.

Any ideas what I did wrong? :kilroy:

Restauravia have released an update to their Mirage IIIB. The new 1.1 version corrects some multiplayer bugs in addition to other minor improvements of details and the GCA approach. Now the same aircraft is flown in both single and multiplayer modes.

As before, download from their website only: http://restauravia.fr/.

I have problem to force GCA to work (voice system).

Did you set up the radios using the popup GCA Configuration panel? See page 21 of the manual. You set the ILS frequency on that panel, not on the side console TACAN.

Hope this helps.

Perhaps I found the problem! Didnt add RFN in AddonScenery. Now I saw this in readme file (better to add this info in MANUAL file - its very important). Setup of ILS ect was ok. for me.
Now I added RFN in Addon Scenery and activated it.

Tested. Generally better version (no solo & multi version) but Im not very happy with this 1.1 upgrade. FSX, when I take M.IIIB something like is more "flashing" when You change a view ect. If the place isnt for click from VC, when You click for expample sky for 1 sec see white frame of FSX window (?). Little strange, take other addon, no this problems. Second too more shinning alpha channel inside of cocpit. Hope They do 1.1a version, I like this model very mutch.

I modified the repaint of U-2004 in the Swiss Air Force colors by Bertrand Barbe to adapt it to the changes who bringed it to become J-2004 (re-fitting; re-painting with new mimetyc livery, any examples are the reflecting orange 500 lt. supersonic tanks) in the last years of its life to became similar to the new Mirage IIIDS who Swiss purchased in the early 80' years.
In the next days i will post any screenshots...

As far as I know, at the time when Germany showed interest in the Mirage, Dassault did not want to develop a multi-role version from the IIIC. Of course they did it later with the –E, but by then Germany had bought Starfighters.

Sad decision that Germany had made in that days. Furthermore we tried to use it as a bomber!!

(Click on the images to see the big ones)

Below, i had to put only the links, as SOH don´t permit more than 4 images in my post.
Markings and color codes:
http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2014/07/22/jBkET.jpg
http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2014/07/22/7KWVj.jpg

http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/images/2014/07/22/G3ZYm.jpg

As there is some markings you put in your paint that is not present in the real one (For example, there is no "1ºGDA" in the tail section) :encouragement:

Hi Flavio, Thank you for your feedback.
1) I think you are italian, i speak also italian (my mother language) because i am Swiss, then the next time you can PM me on italian :) (but this is OT)
2) Yea, i used Paulo Fernando's book, from them i get the images and the markings (+colors).
3) If you take a good look with the zoom, near on the tail section of the dark -DBR, there is written 1°GDA (very small), then you're right, my letters are too Big.
4) i mistaked an emblem and put not the right one.:banghead: i will fix it.
Again, like we say here in Switzerland, i will take treasure from your words and make a better "repaint".
Thank you for your feedback.

That's interesting. Bear in mind that the different shades on the bare metal aircraft (engine mount bands on fuselage and various wing areas) would not show on an aircraft that had been painted -- it would all be the same color(s). Only panel lines and rivets would be seen. But it still looks great and I hope you make it available. Definitely enjoying your Luftwaffe version.

Hi! The kangaroos in the national insignias always face forwards btw. They only appear on the underside of the wings, not the top. There are some good photos of A3-2 and A3-112, showing the orange and white ARDU scheme at http://www.adf-gallery.com.au/. Look for Mirage A3 and click on A3-2.

Start with page 21 the manual. And enter the ILS frequency to get the voice sounds using the GCA popup, not just the panel gauges. Also requires RFN scenery be installed and activated.

This was covered in depth with discussion for and against when the model was first released.
This is an ATAR-9B engine, not a lot of smoke and not a lot of flame visible during the day.
Not sure which thread it was though but instructions for adding AB were provided.

Zsolt :ernaehrung004:

Since the IIIB didn't have the rocket motor it had as a ventral strake. The CEV (Centre d'Essais en Vol - Flight Test Center) model, and perhaps unique to the serial number they painted, has a built up ventral fairing instead of the strake similar to that of a rocket motor housing. Following the IIIB/C all Mirage III/5 versions with or without the rocket motor had a ventral fairing for the rocket motor or just fuel and sometimes a camera. I can't see any difference in the cockpit between the two models.

The IIIB model they didn't include was the IIIB-RV (Ravitaillement ev Vol) with the practice refueling probe in place of the nose mounted pitot tube. This version was assigned to the Mirage IVA bomber training unit CIFAS 328 (http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?78446-Mirage-IIIB-CIFAS-328-1978-zip) for practice making refueling hookups.

Hope this helps.

The IIIB & The IIIC had the ATAR9B, right?
The IIIE the 09C and on request the 9K-50, but the IIIR? I readed that some of the Swiss IIIS & IIIRS, had the SEPR944 for take off and a 9K-50...

I think the engine type(s) for the R was very much the same as the E, early build had the 09C and later the choice of the 9K-50 was included by Dassault. The SAAF for example got the 9K-50 in their late build IIIR2Z.

Speaking of engine variations, the Commonwealth Aircraft Factory (or Corporation as they became) built up an Avon powered IIIO before sanity prevailed and the powers that be reminded them of how much time the Avon Sabre project consumed.
Apparently the one off Avon Mirage was an absolute hot rod, in retrospect, the problems that AMD caused with spare parts and their 'AMD only' tools, along with difficulties in obtaining cannon rounds, might have made the 'Made in Australia' Avon version a better long term proposal.

Today i started repainting, and following Cristoph (F-4F) i do an "what if?" USAFE Lakenheath repaint. It will represent the scheme of an F-15C (84019).
Next days will finish and post the screenshots!

Hi folks,
at the moment i have serious problems with my internet. It is unbelievable how dependet we are today from these things.
Further more real life keeps me very busy these days:-)
None the less i try to make some painting in my freetime. If i have the possibility, there will be another upload in the near future:-))

Thank you:wavey:.
There are one or two tweaks to do. But mainly it is done.
Should I stay with 014 on tail and on fuselage like on the original paint?
Looks a bit "wrong" to me when its there two times.
Sadly I don't no, why they made it this way.
Furthermore I have decided to leave the upper wing area in this metal paint.
The starfighter had a wight area, but this looks not that clean.
On the undersight I have to do a compromise, couse of the flap-rod-housing.

That was the first thing I noticed was the two "014" so close together. I'd remove it from the tail so you have more orange for visibility.

A great 'what if' Christoph! It's possible to paint the two elevon actuating rod covers if that's what you mean; they're on MB302.

Thank you very much for your feedback!

@fsafranek:
It will be done.

@DaveQ:
I have to put the NASA-logo and the letter in the right place as you can see it on the upper sight.
I do my very best. As an alternetive I will put a Nasa-logo on the undersight of the fuselage. There it can be seen, even if the fueltanks are there. Little freedom for the artist:-)
