I was surfing the internet last night and found out there's a new filmed version of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet being made. I went to YouTube to watch the trailer, and it looks fairly "reverent" -more like Zefferelli's version than, say, Baz Luhrmann's. Capt. Winters (Damian Lewis) and John Adams (Paul Giamatti) are both in it. Against my better judgment, I took a look at some of the commentary postings. One of them said, "Why are they making this movie a third time?" That's just wrong. There have been many versions, and I suspect this is one of those stories, another is The Three Musketeers, that will be made over and over until the sun burns out to reflect current tastes. ANYWAY, this is the comment that struck my eye:

"Why can't they just talk normal?"

I just thought I'd share that.

An Immortal Tale..seems Shakespeare loved Italian Soap Opera's.his long Writings are Full of them. The Trailer was visually nice, the People Handsome,..liked the costumes...The Story eternal...The Only authentic face ,Italian That Is is Paul Giamatti. ,But what the Hey! He pulled a John Addams Look very well...Hoverer On the Early London stage..They were all Brits...each Time I see "West Side Story",I think of this great classic story....Vin!

All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages. (http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/quotes/w/williamsha166828.html)
