Posted as promised, here and at Flightsim.com, a repaint of the Flying Stations Sea Fury in the early RCN scheme as delivered from RNAS Eglington in Northern Ireland in May 1948, with the RCN identifier and a blue maple leaf in the centre of the standard RAF Type C roundels.

Well I did this for a fictional Mustang, I thought I may as well put it on the right bird...:kilroy:!!

As JensOle remarked elsewhere, this bird really does need some more paints, though the possibilities are rather limited. I thought I'd have a go at getting the star on the spinner of TG118 of 870 Sqdn from around 1952. A few of their aircraft were done up like this for air shows, so I believe. One (TG119) is currently at the National Aviation Museum in Ottawa, though photos show the star points between the prop blades rather than directly aligned. Still have the spec files to sort out then will post.

Ooo, very nice!

Glad to see the mapping for the spinner allowed the star, I'd planned for it but then we never did a scheme with it so I wasn't totally sure I'd got it right!

Very nice indeed, Dave.

You beat me to it by a "spinner"... :icon_lol:

Will be looking forward to your upload.

Just picked this paint up Dave - my new favourite RCN Sea Fury. Love it!!

Hope you're enjoying trapping a bit more easily now ...

Best,
