Though I live in Helsinki which is south, in northern parts of Finland it has been recorded over -50°C and that's -58°F :faint:

I can remember sitting on the leading edge of some USAF airplane at Eielson this time of the year back in the 1970s at about 9:00AM and the sun wasn't up yet and it's a minus 38 degrees Fahrenheit. Talk about a voice change to tenor! There's about 2 feet of snow on the ground and the temperature is just at freezing here in northeast Washington, USA.

Caz

Is there an actual number that goes with that?

Oh, here we go - 56*F

Tomorrow looks like 48* as a high for you - how cold is that? :santahat:

We are a balmy 56* in Nashville too (I mean, colder than a gut-shot bitch wolfdog trotting nine suckling pups up the mountain in the middle of a snow storm), but tomorrow it should be 40* tops, which I figure is colder than a gut shot wolf bitch that made it to the top of the mountain after that snow storm on a clear night with high winds after losing three pups frozen solid walking up the mountain.

Good idea...actually, I did just get out of the hot tub:woot:.

In my defense, I want to point out that I grew up in Alaska, and live less than 20 minute drive from where that picture was taken on the top of the thread.
