I finally made a ship track with aibtc for Ron Dandurand's great model of the USS CV-1 Langley. It is a simple route in front of Catalina Island but it works so I might be getting the hang of it. I flew my model of the Berliner Joyce OJ-2 out to where I thought it should be and actually found it. I lined up and landed softly. I forgot the plane has the rcbco-30 gauges installed and the CV-1 has Acceleration style traps installed so between the two here is the result.

Best, Paul :isadizzy:

You aren't the first guy to do a prop-stand in front of the ship's crew

Still looks like a fun time was had, Paul! I love the fact that we're able to recreate such early carrier operations in FSX.

It is quite satisfying to go through the process of setting up an AI ship route and actually find the ship sailing the route successfully in FSX!

Yep, there's a reason they call the catwalks around the island structure, where crew members gather to watch air ops, "Vulchers Row" :icon_lol: Ok, CV-1 didn't have an island, that came later... In any case, it looks like one of my landings, Paul!

Here is another view of the CV-1 on it's Catalina track as seen from the float plane version of the OJ-2.

Disappointing, isn't it? That's how most of my carrier landings end up: nosed over. MS did not set up FSX/Acceleration's arresting gear feature to work well with tail-draggers. And don't anybody tell me it's my technique (or lack thereof), I've seen too many posts from folks besides me, complaining about the same thing.
