Yep, tried this morning and it was down and they were aware of the problem and working on a solution. . .looks like it's still down (per Ryan's recent try).:salute:

Thanks - I just installed IE10 on my computer, have run into a few internal site link problems and then encountered this - was afraid it might be an IE10 problem. In that same context, I have been unable to get downloads to work from the SOH library. I get all the way to the Download button but then nothing happens. They were working for me under IE9. Does anyone have a suggestion of a pertinent setting change?

I just got in for the first time today. It loaded very slow. I have IE 10 for Win 7 64 bit.

Best, Paul

Yes, troubles with Avsim, first time in says need Java install, second attempt no problem.
Having difficulties with other sites too.
Computer running faster than usual which is odd, but first entry to Google brings up porno so I think there's a new bug going around.
Doing full antivirus scan to see if can catch the little bugger, but scan is only good as what was known at the time.
Hate it when those guys dick around with my pc.

Apparently they updated the forum software and that update has problems. Expect to see a lot of features not working for a while, and they also turned off guest access for now.

Seems pretty normal when sites update their forum software. Makes me wonder if updating is worth the headaches.

You know, I wouldn't be suprised if they are gearing up for the PMDG 777 release which should be s**n. The influx of rivet counters asking why the soda in the capt's cupholder is not a brand served by XYZ airline will really hit Avsim's forum servers ;):icon_lol:

not really, most boards update no problems at all, or at least not many, avsim however seem to be very good at messing up when it comes to changing anything :blind:

Actually, it was IPS's forum update software package that was the root cause of the problem as it turned out.
