Thanks for the heads up Ian, I bet this will be a big improvement over the old Alphasim Bucc that I was using (it was not the most frame rate friendly AI aircraft).

Just picked 'em up. I'll definitely get a few of these up and flying around.

Does anybody Know John? I've just been playing around with the S.1 and although AI the level of detail is quite accurate does anybody know if he could be convinced to tweak and release the S.1 as a 'flyable model'? just a thought.

There are probably ways to make it flyable anyway, tools like Air-Ed will make it 'visible' and there are some decent Buccaneer panels on Avsim/Flightsim that could be dropped in. John wasn't sure that he was going to do the S1 even as an AI model at the outset, presumably my pathetic grovelling made him take pity on us. :icon_lol: It certainly opens up a lot of possibilities, and has prompted me to have another look at the carriers I was playing with (although 'real life' is getting in the way at the moment). It'll definitely add a lot more life to your retro RNAS sceneries, which I am still thoroughly enjoying; did you ever put together any traffic files for them?

Funny you should say that :jump:-----

place traffic file into Lossie/scenery folder and ditch the old one

Now you mention it Andy I did have a request from someone a few months back asking if I could finish the AI pack off but there were a few issues. The First was that many of the A/C I was using as AI required custom paint jobs made by me which kind of required the A/C themselves being included in the AI pack. The problem with this was they came from a variety of different sources and I never gained permission to include half of them. Secondly I've since been through two Riggs and very few of the files have made it onto the current one. I did manage to dig up some of them but the Culdorse AI wessex and the portland AI have vanished completely so It would mean starting them from scratch. Ian put together some AI packs for Lossie and Yeovilton for me, but I think with John Young producing some more up to date and fantastic models than some of the ones I was using at the time, I'm inclined to hang on a bit and reconstruct from new. Which brings me to my last issue and the reason why Matt Wynn (God bless him) has been doing pretty much all the leg work so far on Project Emily, Is that I am currently flat/job hunting atm which is taking up most if not all of my time, but as soon as I can I'll put something together for ya!

I have made the S.1 flyable for my own devious ends using the ALPHA S.2 as a template and it actually worked out pretty good with a few exceptions (wings fold on lights command which pretty much rules out night flying) I don't know how much work it would take to alter that (knowing 'naff all' about modelling, I'm guessing it would have to be done there?) but it looks the bee's & fly's brilliantly within its perimeters.
