Say I want to create a box. When I create the box I am entering the dimensions from the keyboard.

The dimensions are as follows.

20' 7" (L) This dimension always changes 1" up/down and never stays as input.
36' 0" (W)
8' 9" (H)

In the "customize/units setup" . Feet w/Fractional Inches . Set as - US Standard 1/1
Default Units=Inches

I'm not sure what I need to set this to. I've adjusted (I think) all the settings while trying to get the measurements one-to-one but it never works out as I need them too.

Got it sorted. It needs to be Feet w/Decimal Inches. Default Units set-to Inches

Thanks for the help. LOL!

In the 'customize/units setup' section you can select feet/inches but you must make sure the value under 'customize/preferences/general tab/system unit scale' is set to '1 unit = 1.00 meters' otherwise you will have problems when you try to bring the model into FSX. This allows you to enter values in the Imperial system but Gmax will convert them to metric (which FSX needs) on export.

As to why the length dimension changes I have no idea.

Correct. Those settings I have not touched and as you describe.
