Does anyone know where Javier Fernandez is today..? The release of his carrier model still has such an impact
on how we approach and play FS today four years later. After what that project must have took to get released I could see if he decided to retire from FS development. But if he's still developing I would like to hear of any free or commercial work done. If he's staying "down low" on the "QT", then I'd like to give him a tip of the hat and say thanks again for sharing such an incredible accomplishment...:salute:

If the only scenery/addon I had installed in FSX was Javier's carrier, I would be quite satisfied:)

I agree.
javier and his freeware masterpiece are going to live forever in flightsim world. Others, payware, definetely won't. For a few bucks, out of heaven.

Would someone be able to post a download link to this carrier for me and others?

I've searched the SOH add-ons library and found this:

http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?54096-KSFO-Replacement-Carrier-CVN68-BY-Javier-Fernandez

but I'm not sure I've found the correct download. Clarification and/or confirmation would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Taff

Here's a download link Taff, it's a big file so give it time. You do also need AiCarriers2 for it.

Javi's Carriers;

http://www.fs-shipyards.org/index.php?ind=downloads&op=entry_view&iden=79

AiCarriers2;

http://www.fsxaddons.com/files/ai-carriers/9b1e14fb-0ad6-4660-9735-9be7012a9728

Hope that helps

Downloaded both the files posted in this thread and installed
I am a little confused with Javiers #1 install instruction:

1.copy cvn_68_69.cfg into 'conf.d' folder inside your 'Aicarriers' installation folder.

Does he mean inside the Nimitz folder?

Thanks for the help

No, he means the "conf.d" subfolder of the "AICarriers" folder. :kilroy:

C:/Program Files/AICarriers/conf.d/cvn_68_69.cfg

Could you tell a little of how it can assemble a group of ships and then control them..?
