A painting forum that's empty?

What gives? I'd have thought the SOH would be flooded with painters. Some of you know me, so you'll not be surprised at that comment. So... what am I currently up to.

Not a warbird, but a commercial GA project with currently around 20 skins for marketing next week.

But of course, I am not averse to the odd warbird, but I do prefer a bit more colour

...and of course, the Reno Racers are a great source for ideas:

So if you're bored, I am open to discussions about painting and I know my way around skinning planes, so if there are specific questions, just ask.

Nice shots Chris! Currently I'm working on this mean looking bird ;)

Ah... that "odd looking" plane.

I've always had a soft spot for those Lozenge pattern paints. Challenging to create, but always a pleasure to see in the end result. There's some good pre-prepared stuff over at simmers paintshop.

Your paint reminds me a bit of Alea Jacta

Our 'Paintshop' has always been rather sedate.
Now it's just a trifle empty as the recent 'Database Disaster' wiped our slate clean.
Then again, nice to start afresh in many ways.
Welcome aboard Chris and we certainly will hold you to that generous offer of asistance.

My pleasure. Hit me with it, if I don't know it, then.... I don't know it. But I will learn it.

Your sig... 100 long? High?

Thanks Chris, I love the Cool Ice Eagle you did. I learned a lot about using Alpha channels simply by looking at your textures. Beautiful work you have done on LilSki's Eagle mate, I think I have about all you've done.

I have some more fictional repaints for it to here at SOH.
