A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FSX General Aviation Aircraft

Description: FSX Port-Over DeHavilland Dash 7 - Not Compatible with FS2004

by Milton Shupe, Scott Thomas, Mike Kelly, Bernt Stolle, Tom Falley, and sounds by Nigel Richards. Final beta testing by members of Sim-Outhouse.

Pkg incl 3 models, custom panel and gauges, custom sounds, two Flight Model options, and 7 liveries with more available for separate downloads.

With backing from the Canadian government, de Havilland Canada began in late 1972 the development of a larger capacity short/medium range Short-Take-Off-and-Land (STOL) transport that would provide the higher standards of comfort to be found in much larger airliners. Designated DHC-7, and later named Dash-7, the first of two pre-production aircraft (C-GNBX-X) made its maiden flight on 27 March 1975. The first production aircraft (C-GNBX-X) was flown on 20 May 1977 and about 47 are in service still today.

That´s the icing on Christmas !

Thanks a lot for releasing, guys ! :applause::applause::applause:

A bit surprising, because I found it accidentally on simviation. The thread here on SOH seemed to be lost and forgotten since April ....
of course I got it a.s.a.p. and oh yeah I love it ! 103 with cargo door, now we´re talking ......

Anyway, back to work (*duck-and-run*, before you´re gonna fry, tar and feather me, read to the end !) :mixedsmi::

I´m still gettin two error messages concerning DFD flaps an PJD Hydraulic Pressure (gauges made for FS98 or earlier).

Just in case some of you like some internal cams, add these lines to your aircraft.cfg (views should fit any model):

Is there a new FD file somewhere for this Dash 7, I am finding a lot of nose down trim is needed just to stay straight and level. Otherwise a superb addition. Always one of my fav a/c

Hi all,

I used to fly this in FS9 and loved it. Thank you for making it for FSX. Flying from Stewart to Ketchikan I ran into rain and my windshield went opaque. quite thrilling but is there a fix for this? I really like how she responds to controls and hope to fly in all weather. Thanks.

good flights, Cal

I deleted my Fs9 ver. which works perfectly in FSX\Accel. Then I put this one in. But! The v/s window is empty and has no tooltips or anything. I have downloaded twice form different sites and get the same result. The sounds are awsom. Tried to install safety sounds ( Ding-Dong) from other a/c I have includding .cfg entry to sound.cfg but they didn't work Humph.

Can anyone help me with the v/s window? Have resorted for my old version and installed the sound folder into this one.I realize now that the v/s window is active in the VC...And only in the VC. Is there anyway to get it to activate in the 2D panel???

I have posted somewhere else,I think?

But! The v/s window is empty and has no tooltips or anything.

The version I downloaded had a couple of bugs in the panel.cfg. Near the end of the [Window00] section, the line for the RwyInfo gauge seems to be screwing up everything below it - no vs, no fast/slow, no radio or gps icons. Delete this line and renumber the following ones, and the vs gauge will appear, along with the others.

Strangely enough the same line in the VC doesn't seem to cause problems.

Also the virtual cockpit has both the old "Panel_Radio" gauge and a new "Radio" gauge loaded in the same spot, leading to some confused graphics. One has to be deleted; I quite like the new gauge which looks like a proper RMU and kept this one (and installed it in the 2d panel too).

I downloaded the F port over package, installed and have problems with the "pass" & "BAS" models.
Can not display visual model message..
Does anyone remember similar issues...

I have the "Ice ' port over installed no problem.
