No word about the autopilot behaviour? No level flight, goes up and down and up and down and up...500fpm.
Did not want to be the one, who complains again and again...
Honestly. Nobody noticed? Has it to to with operating weight, aircraft cfg, mdl..?
Nice X-mas and all the best for 2013.

Nice to see some updates flowing through, the RAAF paints are still a long way off being correct.

But i am sure they will get there with them sooner or later.

Btw , for all those who were in need of some wings views, check this out >>> http://www.f111-fsx.com/index.php/buyers-guide-compare-autos/1245-dec-24-dev-update

Cheers.

All the F111s released over this last year - Golden Key Simulations are now really turning the heat on - many said no wing views from the cockpit .... well almost the words mentioned a patch has been released for that .... Beautyfull !

Now I have a request , current paint almost finished .. now i wonder if the texture sheets could be increase the Hull to double the size in the 4000X4000 range ? maybe double all four texture sheets

Wings and hardpoint views from the VC. That settles it for me, I'm going to buy my third F-111.

Let you no , I lined up on the runway , throttled up ... the wing flexed and atmospheric affects appeared superbly as i climbed out

I find FPS stay ok but the re-drawing of the cockpit texture lag a little after a fuel dump .

Sounding really stupid right now but where does that MDL file go anyway?

it replaces all the F111E_M1_interior.mdl files located in each of the folders that start with "model."

Very strange. I downloaded the patch but don't see wing views. Is this another recent patch? thx!

Update: Ah! a new patch on 12/24 for the wing views. Gottem!

Here's the downloaded wing view. No impact to frame rates that I can see with wing flex and vapor effects. Sliky smooth at 60 FPS. But the developer's are correct in that you have to move quite forward to see the wings when fully extended. I suppose it just adds to the realism of the total package. I'd much prefer sharper stencels and better textures on some of the features.

Does the wing view patch work with the standard edition or only the collectors edition?

Thanks

It states the collector's edition on the download page for this patch. Might be worth a try if you have the standard edition. I backed up the interior model file. I'm still trying to figure out the payload manager in the Collector edition. I am a slow learner but I am liking the FSX.com Aardvark more and more as that release patches.

Jeansy, thanks for the telling me where to put that file. Now, I never been up close to an F-111 but for some reason I like this jet. The way it sounds, flys...wow. Now I have to look for an Upper Heyford scenery!

Judging from the website, there is a patch available for both versions:
http://www.f111-fsx.com/index.php/downloads

EDIT: Nevermind, didn't read closely enough...

I've been considering this one. How's the paint kit with the Collector's Edition?

I have found that if you open the canopy, it won't close properly when you close it, in the external view. It remains a chink open on both sides...

Looks strange when hurling along at 500KTAS

Actually...it closes properly....i think its just part of the simulation. They close partially then the pilots do some inside the cockpit things...then close them all the way. Also...not sure if you noticed but if you have them open when you go to taxi...they also close down but only partially until you stop taxiing.

Sean , paint kit is very easy to use , four templates but i have asked for the hull/fuselage template or all off them to be doubled in size to increase detail resolution .
