Yes we are developing the Moo as we like to call it! It has been a favorite of mine for awhile now so I was happy to hear it had made the cut from Colin to make the bird. Just talked to the big cheese and he was saying that we should have some new shots for you guys in the not so distant future. We are still trying to tie up the few loose ends we have with Sabre, and getting in to the pipeline with our other upcoming projects. The MU itself has been off in texturing for some time now so the next time you guys get to see her she will look more like an airplane that a clay model. You guys can always keep up with us on the Face Book page, but I (or Diego) will always come here to keep you guys in the loop too.

Erm, the pitot tube is the (forward facing) one, just below the edge of the windscreen. (The 'other' one would be a bit large for a pitot tube IMO)

I'm a buyer. Hopeless weakness for any GA turboprop twin. This one is really a pocket rocket. The Solitaire doesn't quite have the room and comfort for PAX like the B200 or PC-12 so it is more of a personal pilot's aircraft like the AC690 (also with Garretts). IRL you need to fly - and particularly land her - more like a jet or you can get into trouble. Have enjoyed the PAD portovers but an FSX native with the fine VC detail Milviz can provides is something to look forward to .

....if they throw a "thimble" radar nose on it and blister windows on both sides, I believe you'd have the JASDF SAR variant (MU-2E)...externally I'm not sure there is much difference...

Either way, I agree it's a "must-buy" on my list. Seems like the "high-fidelity" FS game is largely tightening to MilViz, A2A and VertigoStudios, IMHO...these three companies seem to have mastered the "heavy" feel that is just awesome...

Still lots of other good stuff out there by other companies, but...seems like these three companies "kicked it up a notch"...

One of my favorites , we had a 74 MU2-K for many years
So I have been waiting it see if someone is going to do one, the one we have now is good, but needs to have somethings done to it.

I will buy it.

77594Hi

The Mu-2 is used here in Sweden by 'Svensk Flygtjänst' (Swedish Flight Service) in Skavsta airport Nykoping. Somtime as target towing, som painted yellow.

We will only be doing the Solitaire, and no special variants. Between this and the 350i we are doing it will be busy busy. :icon_eek: Plus with other things we have going on in the backround we have just about the next 2 years planned out. Heading in to the spring and summer of next year you guys will get a clearer picture of exactly what that is. Lots of good stuff in store though. The Moo is one of my favorites too. For some reason I have a fascination with odd looking planes. Think that is why I like almost everything that is in the Russian inventory.

A Marquise would be nice but any version of a new MU-2 is welcome.
Definitely looking forward to this one.

Thank you Milviz. . .finally a developer who isn't going to deluge us with every variant under the sun and every modification ever devised that get's thrown at them in posts during the development. :kilroy:I am not worthy. . .I am not worthy!!

LOL... As much as we actually do kick around the idea of doing every variant under the sun eventually we wind up deciding on one. Unfortunately just about every aircraft (in my opinion) has its merits, so there are a lot of days it is hard to decide which ONE that would be the best to do. I must say that probably has to be that actual hardest part in all of this. Especially someone like me who practically likes every single aircraft ever made since the mid 1930's.

yes i know i made a misstake...now...coulda swore i was right yesterday...but i kept staring at that "400" thinking...that aint right....but oh well...yes i meant the LET L-410,and yes i know its Czech....but its all that part of the world...dont the russians fly them?

from wiki:
Of the more than 1,100 units built, roughly 500 remain in service. The majority were delivered to the former Soviet Union (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_Union), but have been resold, particularly to airlines in Asia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asia), Africa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Africa) and South America (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_America). Forty aircraft are in use throughout Europe (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europe) for commercial operation or skydiving. There are also an unknown number in Russia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russia) and ex-Soviet states. The aircraft can be used with short or even unpaved runways (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Runways).
