Thanks Jeansy....Looks like I might be getting their C130 for FSX now. I've thoroughly enjoyed flying the FS9 version. Being a former USAF C130 loadmaster, I have a certain fondness for the Herk.

Can anyone give any feedback on the "B-52 Driver" package?

Is it just the VC or does it also include the earlier separately released exterior? I ask because the page still talks about a 10 Euro discount to folks who bought the exterior alone but the text makes it sound like it is now the whole package.

I've had the B-52 for awhile and I strongly recommend it. It's a fun beast too fly.

I went to purchase their Weapons pack and the KC-767 expansion, but both came up at full price in the checkout window. I was in the time frame too. Oh well...

Thanks for the heads up jeansy, I just bought and installed the C-130 Pro, and to think that I was about to bite the bullet and pay full price at Flightsim's Pilot Shop. Looks like this is a good day, got the C-130 and three Caranado birds for the price of the Herc. Time to go play with my new toys:applause:

I got my e-mail from Capt. Sim 6 minutes after 7:00 p.m. EST. I immediately downloaded the complete package. Kinda a no brainer as it was the same price as the other packages. Something like an 80 % savings. I just test flew the "A" model. I must say it handles much better in FSX than it did in FS9. Gotta go now as I have several other models to test fly.:pop4:

The CS B727 is one of the best payware planes I have ever purchased. I love flying it, have put many simulator hours in it. I have many Captain Sim planes and am completely satisfied with all of them. You won't go wrong with CS. (No, I don't work for them).

Have any of you'll tried the Weapons Pack? I know it's only 9.99 but I don't want to spend the money without a couple responses.

Thanks.

its not too bad but limited, if your computer savy you can set up configs for each of your aircraft (beyond me)

anyone got the 737? i like the retro look but CS can be notorious for frame hungry models, the 707 and 767 kills my machine ATM

if you do have the 737, do you have the NGX? is there much as a hit in FPS like the NGX or is it friendlier?

And whats the FMC like?

if anyone is interested

B52- i likes, smooth as slik and great to fly
707- i likes but for me its FPS hungry
all the 727 packs - i likes again smooth as slik and great to fly
all the 767 packs- I likes but I dont like the FMC setup, Im PMDG lazy and its FPS hungry for me
C130 (full pack)- I adore
Weapons- meh, mixed feelings
W/Radar- I likes, it does the job and a fraction of the price to RXP plus easy to set up
737- ( I only have the exterior ) im tossing up whether to get the full package or wait for Milviz
757- Dont have, theres not many good reviews or posts about it across the net so I stayed away from it
777- im thinking about it but i might wait for PMDG

I have their 707, B52 & C130

The Herc is my favourite and love loading it up even just for a couple of touch and go's, the B52 is next as it is fun to haul that big beast around.

Any other comments on the fps demands of the 707?
I see Matt says it is 'hungry', and I read a similar comment in a flightsim review. However the Avsim reviewer of this add-on said the opposite and he was running it on XP.

Need to know soon to take advantage of the 24-hour sale!

Any further opinions appreciated,
cheers :icon29:

No FPS problems in my case, B707, B727, B737 and B777 run around 50FPS but my rig is way OTT.
Love CS aircraft almost as much as AH!

The CS B727 is one of the best payware planes I have ever purchased. I love flying it, have put many simulator hours in it.

Ditto here. Also have the C130 and 707. All of them very impressive in particular the highly functional systems and detailed VCs.

707 is gorgeous and not noticeably bad on frames on my 4 year old machine and card. You can use a lighter model that cuts out the passenger cabin but has the full VC. This is the best bargain around.

I think the old 737-100 and 200 models used a piece of paper as an FMC.... ;)

I do have the 757 and like it, I guess the cockpit is pretty much the same as the 767. Earlier versions were heavy on the frames, but the latest version is OK.

Will probably get the 737, maybe the 777 too. Oh, the 767 looks good too. Don't have the B-52, so... And most Carenado aircraft on sale too. Bear MiG-17 at PC Aviator... Guess no presents for the rest of the family this year! :icon_lol:

Bought both the 737 and the 777 base packs; a few shots and first impressions; if you like the 727 then you are going to love the 737! Even more detailed inside and out, and also a joy to fly by hand.
Frames are good, even a bit higher than the 727. It sounds like a jet fighter with those low bypass engines, which is a big plus.

And it has bucket type reversers, which is pretty cool! ;)

The 777 is a whole different beast, much heavier, but also a lot heavier on the frames. Glass cockpits seem to do that in FsX.. Comparable to older builds of the 757, but the 777 isn't finished yet (Version 0.9 update available after purchase.) The sounds are awesome and take me back to the first time I saw a T7 take off from Schiphol, and heard that hair-raising howl..

Did not dive into the manuals or into the avionics yet, so no comments on those.
One slight disappointment though: You can't have both the VC and the passengers cabin, there's a seperate exterior model with only the cabin to fly in.

In the 1.0 version yet to be announced, the CS777 cabin and the cockpit will be merged... don't worry... Hope the FPS issue will be fixed though...

In the meantime I'm having fun with this triple seven: I've made a 16:9 2D panel with some parts of Greg Wilson's 777 panel (jb777panel_rel_1_032.zip @ Avsim).

And the CS777 VC even works with some OpenSky/SkySpirit exteriors! But don't ask, can't tell... Below is the SkySpirit 777-300 ANZ By Carlos Eduardo Salas.

With FsX native models it should be possible to merge any VC with any exterior model; and it's good to hear that the entire cabin will be available with a VC in the future. :)

I always try to pick up a couple of things during this sale. This time I snagged the T7 and the 737 base. Thought the T7 would be good to get familiar with the layout while waiting for the PMDG T7. Also, thought it would be fun to hand fly the 737 instead of letting the FMC do all the work like in the 737NGX.

Well, I would have loved to take advantage of this sale, but for some reason Captainsim doesn't accept Mastercard. Aaaargh. I don't get why they don't accept Mastercard when they have Mastercard Securecard security on their online store. Makes no sense. I refuse to use PayPal since my account got hacked and I had to change credit cards, so I guess CS gets none of my money.

Thanks for the info on the B-52. I had to go up to LA yesterday and forgot all about it. Oh well. :kilroy: Next time for sure. I need another aircraft (of that size) in the virtual hanger like I need a hole in my head. Now if Lionheart would have a sale I'd grab that Tri-Pacer. They take up a fraction of the space.

Well, I don't know about any of the rest of you'll who took advanage of this sale but, I'm sure enjoying the Herk in FSX. I've had it for years in FS9 but until this sale, I just couldn't bring myself to buy it again for FSX.

Gotta run. I've just been fragged for an airdrop.....

Got the KC-767 exp pack and am about half satisfied. The interface is nice and authentic as are the visuals. However, the boom leaves a lot to be desired. It doesnt even trail correctly. It's like 15 degrees and the inner tube is not straight.

I've seen some threads on their forum boards asking for a correction and AI options, but it appears they went unanswered. I'll fly it as is though.
