A CFS2 scenery addon of Tsili Tsili Aerodrome, northeastern Papua New Guinea located in the Watut River valley. Applying this addon will completely replace the original airbase that came with the simulator.
It is a blended style scenery made from the outstanding tutorial published by Maskrider. Thanks MR.
The base is modeled after maps and documents as it appeared on completion in 1943. When the real strip was built, everything needed to accomplish this had to be flown in. No roads or rivers came from allied territory to its location. C-47's were the workhorses to get things in. With this in mind, I can see why, for such a large complex, things were spartan to say the least. Tsili Tsili really was in the middle of nowhere.
If you are interested in more history I recommend you visit the "Pacific Wrecks" and "Australian War Memorial" websites. Search Tsili Tsili.
Planes that Tsili was home for included:
Boomerang
Wirraway
Vultee Vengeance
P-38
P-39
P-40
C-47

Next...........
Unzip my file to your desktop.
Open her up.
1.) Copy and paste "Tsili Tsili 43 Folder" to where you normally keep your scenery addons. Placing it in your Scenedb folder of CFS2 root will also work.
2.) Open the "GSL Folder". Inside will be "GSL Man" and fa2680.gsl. Copy and paste these two into CFS2/root/GSL Folder. IMPORTANT! Make a backup of the CFS2.gsl here and put it in a safe place before proceeding. Just for safety.
3.) Double click on GSL Man...In its window click on fa2680.gsl and then click add. Wait for the status bar to fully end. Click Exit on GSL Man. Done
4.) Start CFS2 and go to Settings, Scenery Library, the click Add Area. Navigate to where you placed the "Tsili Tsili 43" folder. Highlight it...Click Ok. Once it appears in the Library use the Move Down button and place it just above "Runways". This worked best for me to have the exclude work on wiping out the stock runway. Click Ok. The sim will compile the new scenery. "Ok your way out of "Settings".
5.) Exit CFS2 then restart it.
For the Airfield to show in the Mission Builder you will have to open the .txt file "Runway Entries" from the unzipped desktop file...copy and paste this information to the Airbase.dat file in CFS2's "INFO" folder. Number the two new entries sequentially to the preceeding ones.
That should be it!
