An HDR view of the Dan River looking east from just below the boat launch at Anglers' Park on 10-27-12. Pentax K-x (yep, got it back), tripod mounted, three images, -2 Ev, 0 Ev, and +2 Ev, Av Priority, ISO 200. HDR processed in Photomatix Pro, post-processing in Photoshop. A 16 X 20 print already on order from Mpix on metallic paper, already have a buyer. :icon_lol:

Hey All,

Caz - it's a really nice composition!! I'm sure you removed the HDR artifacts in the print you are selling.

All I did before the print Ed was remove the slight haloing over the top of the trees by increasing the Smooth Highlights slider. Any other artifacts I can deal with, haloing I cannot. I used the Creative Preset to start, then worked from there. The Creative setting lowers the color saturation to 30, I raised that to 50. I like the Medium lighting setting, so that's what I used. Strength is lowered from 100 to 80. Detail contrast is set at 8.
