A major news outlet reports a 7.7 quake (major strength) has been reported a short time ago in British Columbia. Have any of our members in Washington State, or in Canada, felt this or been affected by it?

A couple of pretty hefty aftershocks too, according to the USGS website

I've got a couple of granddaughters on Vancouver Island. Hope they're okay.

I was out hunting this afternoon and didn't feel anything. I didn't see anything on the local news tonight. That's a pretty isolated area, so hopefully there is no major damage or loss of life.

It's 700 mi from Vancouver, off shore of Masset Island, so no populated area was affected. Here is pic of area.

Sounds kinda crazy, but I've flown over that area many times in the sim, on the route between Seattle and Juneau - it is pretty isolated, so thankfully no major population centers affected by this one. It was pretty shallow as quakes go, and those tend to be the violent ones if they're a higher magnitude. Glad to hear that, so far anyway, everyone seems to be OK.
