I have got to get that kit, if ever I bring myself back into plastic modeling. It's big by my standards. I did the Academy 1/72 PV-1 many years back as one of the Aleutian Raiders. Lots of work, old Academy molds from the early '90s. Now you must learn to paint them Cirrus. :icon_lol: It gets t be a costly hobby, one reason I had to put it on the back burner for awhile. I've been waiting to see if the local Hobby Lobby would have that kit and I'd print me a 40% off coupon from the net and get it.

Have been looking at that Ventura myself; it is a good looking model but also rather big and I really have no place to put it.
Some more info here Cazzie: http://www.revell.de/index.php?id=210&KGKANR=0&KGKOGP=10&KGSCHL=2&L=1&page=2&sort=0&nc=1&searchactive=&q=&SWO=&ARMAS4=&PHPSESSID=5ba82067b78efc108f58c56fa94d6558&KZSLPG=&offset=15&cmd=show&ARARTN=04662&sp=1

You can view the instruction sheets here as well. (Link below the pic.)

Building scale models is a hobby I pick up occasionally; I used to built aircraft, cars and trucks but nowadays mostly military vehicles.

My two current projects: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?71883-Projects-Puma-and-Boxer&p=753515

Cirrus: painting requires a lot of practice (I could use some more too!) but in the end the model will look a lot better and you can spend a lot more time enjoying the build. Start with basic stuff, than add more detail as you gain experience.

I've got several aircraft model kits that I haven't put together due to a lack of where to put them. Most are 1/144 kits though and I need to wear reading glasses to paint them.

Nice job Cirus.

I've been working from time-to-time on a Douglas TBM Devastator. I'm tempted to paint it up as a pre-war plane, but I'll probably end up with either a Coral Sea or Midway scheme. Now that I'm retired, I'll probably get around to finishing it up once the hunting seasons are over.
