Can you replicate the actual number of ships that were there (perhaps as an option, for framerates sake)? That would be quite something to see, and fly over.

I am experimenting with 'objects', AI and 'textures' to see what is possible..... this is the tip of an iceberg ;-) LOTS of work to be done to get to what I have in mind...... but a lifelong dream to recreate this part of history !

re: framerates with large formations. over 100 ships on the go in these screens, detail clouds, rain, large area/max draw distance, 5x AICarriers running,fs formation tool, max ship traffic, moderate AI settings otherwise, shade, fswater config, med sliders and autogen, frames locked at 25, jesus tweaks applied to the config file, getting 12-19 fps on a modest emachines box, nice and smooth.
