I'll be offering real-time support for any and all questions on the following dates and times:

Sunday, October 7th @ 2100 US Eastern Time (starting time may be altered depending on my travel situation...will advise)

Monday, October 8th @ 10am to around 1700 US Eastern Time (start time may be +/- 1 hour...will advise...taking advantage of the federal holiday in the US!)

I will be using the following mediums:

1. http://aviationcafe.co.uk/Index/index.php (Their chat window...requires forum registration)

2. The Sim-Outhouse multi-player "free flight" server and associated chat window. (sim-outhouse.net)

3. *if there is enough interest / on request* A Teamspeak server (to be announced)

4. I will also monitor this thread during the established timeframes.

This is for the Project Tupolev Tu-154B-2 for FS2004, as well as the version for FSX.

FS2004 users, please have the latest version of the Tu-154B-2 (9.6.1) installed.
FSX users, please have the latest version (1.1) installed, plus the minor file updates in the support forum thread linked below.

Support will be provided for every stage of aircraft familiarization, from users trying the aircraft for the very first time with no background knowledge, to users that are already somewhat familiar and wish to expand their knowledge base. Put simply, this training will cover any topic from simple to advanced.
The training is generally unstructured unless you indicate that this is your first time using the addon, in which case I do have a "lesson plan" to get you up and running assuming zero prior preparation or familiarity.

Knowledge of the Russian language in any capacity is NOT expected nor required.
This "course" will be conducted entirely in English.

If you believe you will attend the active multiplayer session and have a decent idea of when you will arrive, I encourage you to let me know ahead of time. Otherwise, just pop into any of the mediums during the above times and participate!

I have been flying the Tu-154 in both FS2004 and now FSX for a number of years now, and while I do not profess to know everything, I believe that my experience with the simulation and the aspects that I do know allow me to help new users figure out this rewarding addon sooner than they would if they tried completely on their own.

If you have any questions, please ask!

Tu-154 physical simulator startup video (recommend watching in HD Full-Screen). Procedure minus pressurization is applicable to FS2004/FSX simulation.

Hello,

I know this topic is 2 years old, however I wanted to point out that a few things in ths video you mentioned:

"Tu-154 physical simulator startup video (recommend watching in HD Full-Screen). Procedure minus pressurization is applicable to FS2004/FSX simulation."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ln9E8bQr2h (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ln9E8bQr2hg)

Is a bit erroneuos and doesn't follow the procedures by the book (however, the pilot on that simulator is very good and serves as basis for newbie pilots). However, real startup is much more complex and there is a few videos on how it's done in reality. Reason I know is because I have a thing or two to deal with the real Tu-154 and Yak-40.

However, it's great that you trained pilots to fly the Tu-154B-2 on those dates as it's always nice to see new pilots in the sky. Russian aviation is very sparse and must be more popular in future. I personally fly Tu-134A-3 and Tu-154M and currently teaching people how to operate it during a several weeks long course, hence if you need any help I'm here. Fortunately for flight simulator you deal only with VC and won't have to deal with the stress you gain from reality of operating these aircraft which is one of the many reasons they're currently phased out.
