I bought an adapter that allows me to use my D-5100 directly with my C-8 telescope. Thing is, even with no eyepiece, I had to take two shots and do a composite in Microsoft ICE to get the entire moon in one frame. Post-processing was done in Photoshop. All Manual settings on camera body, Live View, shutter speed 1/250, scope is straight f/11 aperture, ISO 200, neutral moon filter used on the end of the adapter.

Well done! Moon shots are harder to do than you would think. Is that the moon lander I see in one f those craters?

You bet!
I prefer to shoot at dusk. Then by the time I finish with contrast, it looks like a night shot :mixedsmi:
