The aircraft, acquired by Chris Prevost from the Lone Star Flight Museum following Hurricane Ike a few years back (the aircraft wasn't able to escape before the storm hit (wasn't flight worthy), and was exposed to salt water when the hangar flooded), was stripped down and has been rebuilt to award winning quality and authentic standards. As the video caption states, it shouldn't be long now before the aircraft is back in the air.

(One of the greatest sounding engines - the R-1820)

The aircraft is based at the Sonoma Valley airport with the rest of Chris Prevost's aircraft (which includes a P-40N, a couple of Stearmans, an SNJ, and others). Through Mr. Prevost and several others in the area, the airport is home to some great and rare vintage aircraft and warbirds. Probably what is Chris Prevost's most well known aircraft, his immaculate combat vet P-40N, was also restored by himself, and was completed a few years back. Photo, as indicated, by Roger Cain.

For those not familiar, the vintage and warbird residence and usual visitors to the Sonoma Valley/Schellville Airport have made for some truly stunning photography over the years.

It's not a very well known aircraft, as for a couple of decades it remained in storage. As of 2009 the aircraft flew again, after some restoration work, and is based at the Sonoma Valley airport. As is mentioned in the thread, George Perez's other home, also wine country, is France, where he has flown vintage aircraft and warbirds over there as well, such as the Amicale Jean-Baptiste Salis owned combat vet P-40N "Little Jeanne".)
