August 18 marked the last flight for Army Hueys. The icon aircraft of airmobile operations in numerous wars and campaigns will fly no more for the US Army.

Well, we can still fly her in the cyber skies. Here's a Delta Model Huey from my old unit, the 2nd Squadron/17 Air Cavalry Regiment of the 101st Airborne circa 1970.

The Huey was the iconic helicopter of the U.S. Army from the Vietnam era to Somalia. Honestly, I don't think most people knew what the Black Hawk was until two were shot down in Somalia.
