PCC Aviator has RoF;Iron Cross on sale for $9.99

Is this a good deal?

How well does this sim perform on an older system (dual core but on 256MB video card). Is performance comparable to FSX?

Lateral the price is a good deal. I can tell you that your video card is weak for ROF. A e8500 and A EVGA 4600GT is what I am using. The results are good but not great.

Sounds like it's time to upgrade the video card....

Currently I have a 256MB GeForce 7900GS now running on an E6600 dual core (2.4GHz)

I did find a 2GB EVGA GT610 card for $55 that looks like it would be a cost effective upgrade.

Thoughts?

Lateral your 7900 video card is the same as mine four years ago. The 7900 card will not run ROF. I can tell you that the newer cards like my 4600 need a larger computer case and the card is powered by two plugs instead of one like the 7900 series.

I couldn't resist it for that price but I won't be installing for a day or two when I've got more time to set it up.

I'm hoping it will fit my case. I have a monster Dell XPS 700 desktop tower (with all the fancy LED lights illuminating the front).

Where does the other power cable attach? And where does one obtain that?

Lateral the power cord is the same type powering your 7900 and you should have a extra one coming off your power supply The 4600 series take up two slots on your mother board and is twice as big in size.
