Rebuild complete....Installs complete.:greenf:
FS9 in it's natural state is now giving me fps from 35fps to 80fps with all sliders maxed out, instead of 14fps to 25fps, with minimum to medium sliders. Now I will start adding in some of the other aircraft and although there are so many good ones, I'm going to try and be a lot more selective and try not to load as many as before (150)
AMD Athlon 64 3000+

Spoke a little too soon. Most of my planes are giving me 28 to 41 fps with everything maxed. Got real high frame rates (up to 81) with the DC-3 but that doesn't have a very complex panel. Still have to try some tweaking to see what I can gain, but the frame rates are still double what I had before and things are a lot smoother.
Moe:: I assume you mean screen shots. Don't have a digital camera for actual pictures. When I get everything set I'll try posting some screen shots....

Yeah Wolfe I'm happy with what I got and now I hopefully will get a little more flying in instead of downloading planes, utilities etc and leaving lots of junk on my puter.....:)

Ickie had run some tests with FS9 and your FPS numbers seem to fall into the range that he found to be a realistc "game limited" max. We/you can get more but we'd have to give up too much of the eye candy to get there. Personally once I determined that the best FPS I could get with frame hog airplanes was in the 36 FPS range, I locked my FR to 20 freeing up the cpu to load textures faster. The sim runs real smooth at 20 on my system. I hardly ever see any stutters and when I do they're over real fast..

Roger that. Like I say now I'm gonna fly for awhile and get back to shooting my instrument approaches All of my old Jeps and charts are out of date but I've got the full US and when I find some place I want to practice at or dream about the approaches I used to shoot then I just look up the new frequencies and go to work........ :costumes: CV21
