Good morning,

I'll be been working the last two days putting together my new rig. It is a Intel I5 core, built on BioStar TZ77A Motherboard. The O/S will be Windows 7 Ultimate. Right now, I have a NVIDIA GeForce 8800 512MB PCI-E video card. I have 8 GB of DDR3 RAM, but I can upgrade this to 16GB if need be.

I'm really looking forward to running CFS2, CFS3, and FS9 on this new rig!

That ought to power through just about any scenario Rami. It'll be interesting to see a comparison in frame rates between the new and old computers.

Congrads on the new rig Rami, I hope it serves you well. I'm running an i7 Raid 0, 2 x 320 GB HDs, (+1 320, +1 500 GB ext backups), 8 GB ram (expand to 16 GB), Blu Ray DVD, an older ATI 4850 512 MB, Sound Blaster Xi-Fi Xtreme, Logitech Z-5500 5.1 and all run by Vista 64. A few minor issues is all I've had with this setup. Again best wishes.

Sounds good Rami. Always good to upgrade to a quicker computer - my gaming machine is 8 yrs old! Can't quite hack it on some of the stuff out there these days!

I really must finish my new rig - I've put the power pack in the case and there everything sits.....it'll be obsolete by the time I actually get it up and running! I've already had most of the parts for a year! (i7-2600/AsusP8P67Pro/Radeon 6850 graphics ,120G SSD main, 1TB secondary hard drives,,etc..)

Good morning,

I have the O/S up-and-running, and put in the other 8GB of RAM, so I'm running at 16GB flat. The scary part is, the motherboard can handle 32GB, so technically I am still running at "only" half-capacity. Today, I will be able to load CFS2, CFS3, and FS9 onto this rig, and I am anxiously awaiting the moment where I fire up these proggies and turn this beast loose!

Jagd...in a word...AMAZING! I flew over areas which gave me a bit of trouble with my old rig, and I was STUNNED.

Malta...Old rig...16-25 FPS, depending on location. New rig...The LOWEST I saw was 41 FPS, even over the most intense areas it was 66 FPS or higher.

Gibraltar...Old rig...16-25 FPS, depending on location. New rig...no lower than 77 FPS.

Pantelleria...30 FPS, give or take. New rig...125-143 FPS, on areas where it was just ground textures, I saw it crack 500 FPS a couple of times.

Lempesusa...24-30 FPS, roughly. New rig...no lower than 77-91 FPS.

Casablanca...14-22 FPS. New rig...60-85 FPS, at its lowest.

Dakar...21-27 FPS. New rig...60+ FPS.

Taranto...11-19 FPS. New Rig...40+ FPS.

The landings at Salerno and Anzio for the Tuskegee Airmen now run as smooth as silk. (30+ FPS)

I am sooo jealous!

At some point this year, I am going to do the same, but use XP for the op system as that was my favorite OS for CFS 2 and FS 9. It will be a sim only computer with no connection to the internet.

Dear Rami.
While I do envy your new rig, please don't forget us lesser beings, that have to stay with our old "last-century" rigs:icon_lol:
Congratulations and best wishes

Finn,

I am very aware of configuring the missions so they can run on lesser computers. For the Kampfgeschwader missions, I can always include "lite" versions with less aircraft if need be, it's not a problem.
