This was the show i very nearly didnt go to, really bad weather leading up to the show, with a fear of last minute cancellation like 2008 and predictions of doom from a few spotter web sites, couplled with some personnal hassels at home, it wasnt untill 1 in the morning on Sunday i decided to bundel gear into the car and go for it.
Boy am i glad i did, this years was supurb, not that ive been to a bad one, a fantastic flying display and a well though out static park with some nice touch's, like kicking the fairground rides away from the flightline and a better pa system.
Favorites flying, the Korean team, Black Eagles took all the prize's, but displays by the French Rafele, Vulcan and Osprey and our own Red Arrows were also highlites, Polish Mig 29 was good to watch, although look at old next to the Rafele,Gripen ect, nothing can take off so dramaticlly as a 29. The Tornado pair with there missing man tribute, following the tragic accidents at Lossie earllyer last week was a moving final to the Sunday show.
A little sad for me also as this will probably the last time i'll get to see both the RAF VC10 and the German F4's in the flesh, ive included a link to my photos, i dont really do flying photo's, just from the static park, wish the light was better down at the western end for the German Tornados and F4, always seemed to cloud over when i got there but i hope you enjoy them.
If anyone else was there, hope you had a great time, cheers ian
