I know this isn't an FSX topic, but this seems to be the best place to put this so you guys can have a look. I know this is warbird central, so hopefully you'll all find this interesting. I'm pretty sure there are some repaints here that feature in the video! :)

Yesterday I visited Duxford for the annual Flying Legends airshow. I took some pictures........a lot of pictures!

Nice! But only one of the P-47 ? Her debut post-restoration airshow; surely she was the star of the weekend.

Beautiful images, gutted I missed it this year but could'nt be stopped. Last thing I need is the mrs going into labour to the sound of a merlin, no matter how much of a cool story that would be. The weather was really good at the weekend, so glad it held up for everyone on both days. Ive yet to look but how was the traffic this year, given the choas of last years events and in fact the year previous, I was wondering if anything had changed?

The Bob anniversary show was shocking the other year, so bad we ended up turning around (and its only and hour and a half drive) and ended up getting up at silly oclock in the morning to make sure we were one of the first there for the sunday show, result was good though as I managed to park right next to ground warfere hall and managed to sit on the roof of the car to see the entire show in the sun hehe. :ernae:

The weather was good after I got soaked to the skin in a flash downpour whilst walking the flight line. Protecting a few grands worth of gear wasn't fun!! As for traffic, I parked at Trumpington park and ride, Cambridge, and took the free shuttle bus right to the door, which I'd highly recommend :)

I had considered parking outside the grounds and sitting on the roof to watch in previous years......but there's nothing like arriving home in the evening and stinking the place out with avgas fumes!! I joined the Friends of the Fighter Collection whilst I was there and ended up sitting in the members area for the entire show, which was right on the taxiway, with Sally B parked directly to our left........just awesome :d

Honestly, I'm not sure if I could pick out a star of the show as pretty much everything was amazing! My personal highlight was seeing so many Spitfires in the air at the same time, the entire sky was buzzing from all directions.

But, as you requested :d

Not the best of quality, probably worthy of appearing in my 'seconds' pile!

Cheers :)

Photographers have a thing called the golden hour, which is the period of beautiful light in the hour just before the sun sets, or just after it rises. Saturday seemed to have a golden hour that lasted for quite a few hours!

EDIT: If you wanted to see them slightly larger, I've posted the whole set on another forum

Thanks for sharing the beautiful pics. My favorite is the P-38 nacelle with cockpit just above it and the raindrops glistening on it's shiny skin.
