Shame, I needed the HD space and uninstalled it today.

It's encouraging to see that they seem to be responding to user feedback (TrackIR and differential braking). So many "simmers" felt abandoned in favor of "gamers," maybe this is an attempt by MS to show that they want to enhance the simulator aspects of FLIGHT. I keep hoping that as the franchise developes they are able to build a system that can be tailored to the users' tastes, that is, a game for gamers and a sim for simmers.

The title update is out. I'm downloading it now. (Just start Flight, sign into LIVE, and it will prompt you to update.)

Be warned... It takes quite a while.

Well, the TrackIR update helped a lot.
It's enjoyable landing the Stearman. Now.
Glad they switched music too, see they are trying to promote the 'Alaska' release.

I try to like this product, I really do.
But so many things continue to disappoint.

'Flight' still forgets peripheral assignments, pain to have to assign 'toe brakes' everytime I go out.

For the love of God, Microsoft, PLEASE stop selling addon planes without cockpits.
And need a Helicopter, with cockpit, to do these areocaches.
Tired of the only option being to crash into the area of the markers.

And please, PLEASE add some AI traffic, ground and air! I hate flying over this dead Hawaii.

Apparently one of the Flight users on the CBFS forum discovered that you can land your aircraft nearby and then walk to the aerocache and collect it that way.

Only ones I have left are those waterfalls in the steep canyons on Kauai.
Guess I could try jumping off the cliffs. :wavey:

But the point is, still, need, helicopter.
With a cockpit. LOL. :icon_lol:

EDIT: It works, but you can run up and down cliffs like a mountain goat.
Kinda defeats the purpose of an "aero"cache, in you know what I mean.... :kilroy:

They didn't fix the pov switch (or make it reversable) and the self shadowing is still rubbish. Nothing fixed that I wanted.

Talking about massive upgrades, if I understood correctly, MS will bundle Carbon Cub with Alaska package. And surprise surprise it does not have VC.

Well, RUMOR at the other sites is that there may be a 'Deluxe' version of the Carbon Cub, you have to pay extra for that version with the VC.
I think its pure speculation because they released an update with TrackIR support first.

However I HOPE it is true, as IMHO the continued releasing of 'Basic' aircraft has really killed customer enthusiasm for 'Flight'. (I'm writing this for the Flight development team's benefit HINT HINT).
They release the Carbon Cub as 'Basic' only will probably kill 'Flight' for those who still had a glimmer of hope for the product, even with the Alaska scenery release.
I personally couldn't see any reason to buy Alaska if it only comes with yet another 'Basic' aircraft only.
Furthermore, they REALLY need something larger, like a Cessna Caravan. With a VC.
