Seeing a FSX A-26 invader has been released, any chance we could get one in CFS 2? Been flying thirdwire's modders a-26's I forgot if one was done for cfs 2. Anyway, the new one for fsx is awesome.

The FS2004 A26B and -C models (upon which this is based) were developed and released in April 2007. Were these not converted to CFS2 back then?

If not, I would gladly provide either the FS2004 or FS2002 versions (there are 6-8 models-guns/noguns) for conversion as the FSX models cannot be converted.
You can also download the the FS2004 versions from the library (see what's hot) but those version contain DECAL polys on the nose. You may want the versions without that.

Let me know if I can help.

Allen,

You are on it! That is a much better option IMO, lower poly, more friendly, and CFS2 ready :-)

From The Pacific War Online Encyclopedia...
:

"...The A-26 Invader came into service in 1944 and was the fastest U.S. (http://pwencycl.kgbudge.com/U/n/United_States.htm) bomber (http://pwencycl.kgbudge.com/B/o/Bombers.htm) of the war. It was derived from the A-20 (http://pwencycl.kgbudge.com/A/-/A-20_Havoc.htm), but was even hotter and more heavily armed and armored (http://pwencycl.kgbudge.com/A/r/Armor.htm), with 6 0.50 caliber nose machine guns (http://pwencycl.kgbudge.com/B/r/Browning_machine_gun.htm). In addition, the top turret could be locked forward to contribute to strafing firepower. Some were modified in the field to carry up to 22 machine guns. With its heavy gun armament, it was a very potent strafer and proved particularly effective in the anti-shipping (http://pwencycl.kgbudge.com/S/h/Ship_Specifications.htm) role. It was also equipped with rockets, but these turned out to be unsuitable for low-level strafing attacks: The fast-moving A-26 was almost on top of the target when the rockets hit, and was in serious danger from the debris kicked up by its own attack.... The A-26 was slow to come into production because of disputes over the correct nose armament configuration, which originally was to include a 75mm nose gun (http://pwencycl.kgbudge.com/U/s/US_75mm_M4_gun.htm). A proposal to design a modular nose that could be swapped for different configurations proved impractical..."

How about an Invader with a General Electric J31 turbojet engine in the tail - the XA-26F ?
