I do not remember this accident but remember talking to FAA Controllers and a Radar Tech who witnessed it. The Pilot forgot to lower his gear on one of the touch and go patterns. After the Pilot made safe egress, the Tower Cab Controllers said he took off his helmet and slammed it down on the runway. You'll notice that the main and nose gear doors are open but no visible sign of gear extension.
